The Edinburgh Military Tattoo
Once again Edinburgh Castle is the venue for the 62nd anniversary event and in 2011 there will be performers from over 40 countries, with a live audience of 217,000 with one third being visitors from overseas, a worldwise television audience of 100 million across 30 countries - which all combine to create a unique international event.
The event this year runs from 5th August to 27th August. The shows starts at 9pm Mondays to Friday, and on Saturdays there are 2 shows at 7.30pm and 10.30pm. Each show will last an hour and a half. There are no performances on a Sunday.
